ABOUT

Nice to meet you. I’m Victoria – host of the Mum Means Business podcast, mum of two little girls, family and personal branding photographer, educator and marketing lead in the family business my dad established over 20 years ago.

My career has never followed a straight line. I’ve been a waitress, an architectural assistant, a charity co-founder, a wedding photographer and then came my most important job of all… mother.

I emerged from the pandemic with two babies, a half-finished house and no idea what to do next! The blended career I had known and loved simply didn’t work in the same way anymore.

My identity had shifted in ways I never expected and so I floundered. I vomited all over social media trying to find a new path and eventually came to rest as an analogue family and motherhood photographer. But something was still missing.

What I needed was real connection with ambitious mothers to talk honestly about the tension between who we are before children and who we are becoming in motherhood. I wanted to talk about the identity shifts, the financial pressure, the guilt, the joy and the slow, real work of building something meaningful in the middle of the most demanding season of life.

So I started this podcast. It began as a passion project, but the conversations it prompted healed me in ways I could never have imagined. And I was hooked!

Victoria Phipps mum of two and founder of the Mum Means Business Podcast.

Mum Means Business is now over 55 episodes in. Each week I sit down with an inspiring mother who is building a business, navigating that same tension and figuring it out as she goes. And every Friday I share a short solo episode from my own messy middle, because I think it matters to hear that the host is still in it too.

If you are an ambitious mum who has ever felt lost, behind or like you are trying to do too much with too little, this podcast is for you. You are not alone in this. There are so many of us out here, figuring it out together.
